Millions Invested to Boost Aboriginal Health Conditions

An investment of 128.7 million is expected to help in improving the health conditions of the aboriginals in Western Australia during the course of next 4 years. The State Ministries took this decision with a motive of uplifting the health prospects of the people.

Across WA, a network of Aboriginal Health Liaison Officers will be employed to provide support for Aboriginal patients in their journey through the hospital and primary health care systems. An additional investment of $17.1million from the Federal Government is going to be directed towards Aboriginal early childhood development programs.

Aboriginal people have been taking active part in supporting the cause since August 2009. A proper layout has been designed to distribute the right amount of fund in the regions.

Health Minister Kim Hames has confirmed that the money will be used wisely and not consumed by the administration. There would be around 180 full time medical assistants available for the people to assist them.
