Facebook More Popular Than Google
Facebook, Google

Even after going through a lot of criticism, Facebook has still managed to top the charts of being the most visited site, leaving Google behind. The changes brought in the designs of Facebook’s site were initially condemned, but there is a possibility that media’s introspection into the matter could have actually helped Facebook attract more attention towards itself from the people.

According to HitWise, Facebook outshined Google and became the number one site due to the maximum visits paid by people. For the week of March 13, Facebook was able to make its landmark as it continued to have more people visiting its site. Even on the Eve of Christmas and other few days, the similar trend continued.

Another milestone in the history of Facebook has been that its rate of web traffic has jumped up by 185% whereas Google’s Web traffic rate has remained stagnant for the past few years.

The growing popularity of Facebook is definitely a bad news for Google which had challenged Facebook and Twitter by launching its new Buzz Social Networking Service.
