For quite some time now, an airplane has been regularly circling around US Representative Jason Altmire's, which is in western Pennsylvania, flashing a banner which reads - "Tell Altmire to Vote No on Health Care".
The other side of the ongoing debate on the healthcare bill managed to shine recently on Monday, when President Obama placed a call from the Air Force One and left the Representative a message about the US President's top legislative priority. Later during the day, the men got together for a conversation, their third on the said subject over recent times.
In November, Altmire, who is a Democrat, had voted against the bill, and yesterday he shared that he is "undecided" and still concerned about the cost involved in the process of overhauling the healthcare system of the country.
All across his district, as many as 3 television ads are running which oppose the bill, there have been frequent protests outside his office, and his Washington switchboard has been flooded with worried and some angry calls.
"This is a moment in history, and I get that. But in the end, I'm responsible for my district and I'm going to be held accountable for this vote... and I'm taking it seriously", he said.
This week, the pressure on the dozens of undecided Democrats in the House is all set to intensify, as the broad health care revamp bill seems headed for a major vote, probably by the end of the week.
