Cerebral palsy office renovated, opens

Months after a break-in threatened to derail the non-profit organization, the Cerebral Palsy League (CPL) in Toowoomba will open its renovated offices today.

All services would be delivered under one roof following the $1.4 million refit.

It was reported that in January, equipment worth $100,000 and a van were stolen from the office.

According to CPL spokeswoman Penny Atfield the break-in that took place in January caused a major setback but help the Queensland government and the community extended all the needed help to ensure that the new centre takes shape and it becomes a reality.

Atfield said, "The site has been redeveloped to meet the growing demand for disability services across the Darling Downs. Our clients that live locally will have access to a custom-made space that's going to meet their complex and varying needs."
