Airstash Wireless Card Reader Claims to Transfer Files via WiFi

Wearable Inc. has launched Airstash, a wireless memory card reader, which claims to transfer photos and videos between your smartphone, laptop, and desktop, iPad, without any cables or dongles.

Though Wearable calls the Airstash a wireless flash drive, it is basically a WiFi-enabled SD/SDHC memory card reader. The Airstash enables you to wirelessly read files off your SD card using any 802.11b/g WiFi-enabled device with a Web browser.

Since the Airstash has a built-in web/file/media server, you do not require to install software on any of your devices and an Internet connection is also not required. Just put your SD card in, and begin sharing your files right away. You can even stream videos from your card.

With a USB connector, the Airstash can be used as a USB card reader as well. The device comes at a price of $99.99 and can be ordered straight away.
