Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 Series Doesn’t Have Cut, Copy, Paste and Adobe Flash

The users will be able to perform a single-tap action on the Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 Series as it will not permit users to cut, copy or paste text. The company’s newest smartphone operating system will fall short of some other features like Adobe Flash Support.

It will roll out to the customers as well as the businesses towards the end of 2010.

Microsoft Spokesperson wrote in an email, “Windows Phone 7 Series will not initially offer copy and paste. Instead, we try to solve the most common uses for copy and paste via single-tap action”.

The spokesperson further added that usually people want to view an address on a map or highlight a term in the browser and sometimes they copy a phone number to make a call. In the new Windows Phone 7 Series, these options are recognized by the device automatically and can be done with just one touch.

As far as its Flash support is concerned, CEO Steve Ballmer confirmed to the people at a press conference held in Barcelona on 15 Feb, that the company has no objection to Flash, which is the indispensable part of many popular websites.

Silverlight and XNA will be used by the Windows Phone 7 Series so that the developers may be able to build applications as well as 3-D games for the future Windows Phone Marketplace.
