Woman, 50, Dies in Mandurah House Fire

A middle aged woman is reported to be killed in a house fire in Mandurah which ripped through her Hancock Street home today morning.

Fire-fighters were informed of the 57-year-old woman's house and they reached about 4am, discovering the property ablaze.

Attempts were initiated to take the woman out of the house; however, it was burning too much.

Her body is reported to be found in the lounge, though the fire was believed to have propelled in a front bedroom.

A man in the house was rushed to the hospital with smoke inhalation and burns to his chest after he attempted to save the woman.

Presence of no one in the house at the time when the fire broke out is reported.

Fire Investigators and forensic officers were unable to know about the cause of the blaze, while, it is not being treated as suspicious.
