The American Cancer Society is organizing a ‘Relay For Life’ which is meant to acknowledge and honor those who have been affected by cancer. The Relay For Life commemorates those who have lost their lives to cancer and offers support to those who are combating cancer. It also tenders hope, that one day cancer will be eradicated from the world.

The Relay For Life is a community event. The people of the community along with the American Cancer Society come together to help create a world where there are lesser deaths due to cancer and more people win the fight against it.

The Relay is an annual event. The American Cancer Society is calling on people to volunteer their services for this noble event. The fight against cancer now needs more help than ever since attendance of volunteers has been waning.

Volunteers can offer their services in many areas. Survivors and caregivers can encourage many by participating in the survivor lap of the relay. Volunteers can help organize committees, assist with registration, participation, team recruitment.

Local companies, religious organizations, community groups, civic associations, schools etc. can serve as sponsors.

This is a chance to give something back to the universe and volunteers are requested to come forward to make a small difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
