Durham regional police busted an ongoing indoor operation of factories growing marijuana, which has been reported as one of the largest ever operations busted in the region. On Thursday, the cops from the Durham Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit estimated the value of the drug to be of $5-million. The raid was done at the office premises of Décor Electrical.

Moote, Det.-Sgt said, "They were smaller plants, but the quantity of plants, definitely one of the larger ones we've had in Durham Region, especially for indoor". The police also reported the seizing of dried marijuana weighing five pounds and money amounting to $4,300.

The region cops have arrested Doug Robertson and Manoli Mbermberakis, the owner of Décor Electricals on the allegations related to trafficking.

Harm has been suspected to the environment due to the fertilizers being used in these kinds of operations and it poses a serious threat to the human safety due to the factory equipment and electrical set – up. The police further added it that lead to encouragement to the local criminals, who now might try to barge in these factories making the unlawful environment more intense to be controlled.
