Queenslanders to Get More Compensation for Major Road Accidents
Queenslanders to Get More Compensation for Major Road Accidents

A promotional activity has been started to increase the amount of reimbursement for the residents of Queensland, who suffer extreme injuries in motor vehicle mishaps.

Motor vehicle accident lawyer Ian Brown says that disastrous injuries change lives in ways most people cannot comprehend.

The basic things which a person could do earlier were now either unachievable or required a great amount of effort. Until a person experiences such a life or is a member of such a family, one would never be able to understand its effect, said Mr. Brown.

He also said that, Queensland Parliament approved a small CPI increase last week, which is not enough. The State Government should look at the annual reports of insurance companies to see the profits they are making.

Compensation for pain and suffering in Queensland is quoted at $250,000 as compared to $408,000 in New South Wales and $450,000 in Victoria.

The National Law Firm launched a Facebook page on the issue of pain and suffering payouts on Friday, expecting to acquire popular support for their movement for better reimbursement payments to the brutally injured.
