LA TROBE University Aspires to Improve Regional Student Enrollments

Youth Allowance criterion would soon be changed by La Trobe University that will have a healthy impact on the regional campuses. The changes would assist regional and rural students in getting more income under the old rules.

Dr. Andrew Harvey, the Director of Regional Operations at La Trobe, feels that the cost of living has major effects on the regional students attending university.

The new rules made, although not perfect, give students some idea about how it is meant to help them. Part of the rules is connected to the cost of living, so it becomes all the more important for the university to lay some provisions for the regional students.

La Trobe University is the biggest provider of university level education in provincial Victoria, Professor Johnson said. If regional Victoria is going to persist to flourish, La Trobe has a chief role to play. Similarly, La Trobe can benefit on prosperity in the regions.

La Trobe’s Bendigo campus contributes $201.4 million yearly to the city’s gross domestic product and supports 2099 jobs.
