Google May Withdraw from China Fully

In a matter of two months, Google Inc. wobbled the world with its threat to leave China on restriction and hacking concerns, and now there are increasing signs that a permanent exit is imminent, as the two sides refuse to compromise.

The search engine may publicize its exit on March 22, the Shanghai-based newspaper reported, citing an unidentified Google China worker. It may also disclose plans for its China workforce on the same day as per the report. The company hasn't confirmed April 10 as its withdrawal date, yet.

Google braved the Government of the world's most- crowded country in January, by bullying it to allow all search results to be shown on its Chinese-language Web, including mentions to Tibet and the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown. The two sides have since been in talks to find a solution to the issue.

There have been rumors that negotiations could not help resolving the matter, in fact, it had intensified situations between the Government and Google, as none of them was ready to back down. Some of Google's advertisers in China have been recommended to switch to rivals including Baidu Inc.
