Details regarding Hewlett-Packard's tablet PC Slate have seeped in more concretely into the market as the latest rumors suggest that the Slate will first hit the US markets in June with _400 price which makes it $546.
All this information was brought into lime light by Spanish Website called Clipset which claims that the HP Slate will be functioning on Windows 7 and will be an atom based device. Other expected features are a memory card reader, Flash support, web cam, and USB connectivity which perfectly meet the expectation s that people had with the iPad. The rumors say that the market availability of the Slate will reach mid-summer for Europe.
Although the earlier rumors about the iPad have disappointed the market, but if whatever standards are being set by Clipset's information come out to be true, it will in fact become obvious that something with lesser feature and same price will risk its survival. This is because iPad come under the same price ranging $450-$650.
The excitement regarding the Tablet PCs initiated at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, followed by Apple displaying its iPad, is being carried on now as HP prepares to come up with its bit, probably in June.
