While undertaking the extreme weather survival testing, the descendant of Ferrari's 612 model has been clicked at a place somewhere near the Arctic Circle.
Ferrari revealed its hybrid car at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is named Ferrari 599 HY-KERS. According to the company, the hybrid version helps slice fuel consumption and emissions by 35%, without having any adverse effect on the performance or driving of the vehicle.
The technology of KERS Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems is the one being used in formulae one form past two seasons.
It has been rumored that the next generation of Ferrari's 612 Scaglietti will be huger in size and that will be launched with all-wheel drive stage tailored to HY-KERS as Ferrari's hybrid technology. This system will be backed with surplus 100 hp drawn from three-phase electric motor along with lithium-ion battery.
The model being tested is reported to be with lengthy wheelbase with rear bumpers. It will probably be having Enzo-derived V12 which is expected to emit 530 horsepower with 430 pound-feet of torque. 599 HY- KERS, probably aims at obeying CO2 emissions standards in urban areas.
