The 2011 Toyota's Sienna is the third creation of the minivan that has been in production and is luckily not one of those models which are at present under inspection.
Toyota Sienna sports a four-cylinder engine. The 2.7-litre motor soaks 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, which is adequate for this vehicle, even on the mountain highways north of Victoria. Combined to a six-speed automatic transmission, it can stretch its torque curve effectively. It offers a mileage of 10.4 liters per 100 kilometres in the city and around 7.5 L/100 km on the main road.
It is also equipped with an optional 3.5L V6 engine that makes 266 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque. It uses the same six-speed automatic, which can also be moved by hand on the well-positioned dashboard shifter. For that extra feature, the fuel consumption is still economic, 11.5 L/100 km in the city and 8.1 L/100 km on the freeway.
Devised in California and Michigan, the Sienna is made in Indiana. It has a lot of cup holders, mass storage including two gloveboxes, a set of individual HVAC controls, automatic doors and locks and a stress on comfort.
By the end of March, the new Toyota Sienna will be in the dealers' showrooms starting at $27,900 for the base 2.7L model. The V6 will add $1,000 to the cost.
