Supermarket's Cancer Campaign to Raise £5 million

Children in Norwich, who are surviving with cancer, will soon be able to spend more time at home with their parents and a comparatively less in hospital.

A campaign is revealed to raise £5 million with an aim to fund specialist nurses that can treat the illness without long hospital visits, was uncovered on Thursday.

Supermarket giant Tesco has reportedly developed CLIC Sargent, with a view to decrease the pressure for the ten children with cancer diagnosed daily by providing clinical and emotional support, its charity of the year.

CLIC Sargent is revealed to facilitate the provision of home visits for regular procedures to make living with the disease without much hassle.

Jack Smith from the Heartsease area of Norwich is four and currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

"It would be wonderful if we could raise enough money to provide a CLIC Sargent nurse for everyone because the less time children spend in hospital, the more likely they are to be able to live a more normal life",Jack's mother quoted.
