Court documents obtained by CBC News have revealed that more than 200 items were seized by the RCMP in a raid on Wiebo Ludwig's Trickle Creek farm which was carried out in January. The long list of items includes chemistry textbooks, weapons, office supplies and chemicals used in making bombs.
Ludwig has already served jail time after he was found guilty in the 1990’s pipeline bombings.
Potassium nitrate, normally used in fertilizers, but also a key ingredient in explosives, was found at Ludwig’s farm, along with handwritten notes and chemistry books.
Almost 150 officers took shifts in the raid, which went on for 4 consecutive days, closely searching the property from January 8 to 12. The documents have revealed that the police searched several buildings on the location and found 75 grams of marijuana, guns and ammunition.
The search was part of an investigation into six bombings that took place between the October 2008 and July 2009 at EnCana’s natural gas pipelines.
