O'Donnell, who hosted the syndicated "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and did a stint on ABC's "The View," is reported to make a comeback on television, teaming up with syndication veterans Dick Robertson and Scott Carlin, a former president of domestic distribution at HBO for another syndicated talk show.
The news was first aired on Showbiz411.com.
The show, hosted by O'Donnell, is revealed to launch in 2011, which would coincide with the exit of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
As president of Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution for 17 years, after which he segued into an adviser position in 2006, Robertson shepherded the sales of the Telepictures-produced "Rosie O'Donnell Show," which ran for six years and won numerous Emmys, including five consecutive best talk show statuettes.
It is reported that Robertson and Rosie together worked on the Emmy winning “Rosie O’Donnell Show,” produced by Telepictures and aired between 1996 and 2002.
"Cable likes controversy and defined personalities with a strong point of view," a leading syndicator quoted.
