The search giant Google is trying hard to turn a new leaf in getting its consumers’ respect and trust back, after its users faced a tough time with their privacy being intervened.
Google is working on a browser plug-in, that lets clients to block being counted when landing on a Web site that supervises visits through Google Analytics.
Amy Chang, working as a Group Product Manager at Google Analytics, said that Google engineers have been working on the plug-in all through the past year and plan to make it available worldwide, in the coming weeks.
Although Google Analytics does not personally follow identifiable information, but the plug-in will give users full option to choose to send back any information to Analytics. The engineers have been constantly working to improve the balance between privacy options for users, at the same time providing its advertisers with precious and actionable data to improve their Web sites.
Forrester Research Analyst, Joe Stanhope says that tools already exist for the consumers to use, in order to stop websites from popping up on their Web page.
