Filling Out the Latest Census Form Made as Easy as Possible
Census Bureau

The Census Bureau is determined to ensure that the survey form for this year reaches out to almost everyone and also comes back from every place. For this purpose, filing out of the form has been made as easy as possible. Even those who do not like filling out forms will not be put off by this year's effort.

To fill out the entire form, it would not take more than 10-15 minutes, and all one needs to fill out are basics like name, age, sex, race, etc. There is no need to provide any legal numbers or documents, so one would not have to go through files.

As has been revealed by the 2010 Census website (2010. census. gov), the information people share in the census actually affects the total number of seats that states end up occupying in the US House of Representatives.

As of now, North Carolina boasts 13 seats statewide, while Pitt County is divided between the First District, which is represented by Rep. G. K. Butterfield and the Third District, represented by Rep. Walter B. Jones Jr.

In addition, the data collected through census can also help advocate for causes, lead to rescue of disaster victims, help in disease prevention, research markets and locate various skilled workers, and all this is in addition to various other uses.

"A complete count is important for several reasons, not the least of which is that it can affect funding that Palm Beach receives from the state and federal governments", said Palm Beach Town Manager Peter Elwell.
