In Adelaide, a man has been accused and sentenced over a road rage assault.
Artan Hasani, 31, continually stabbed a relative of a woman driver he had bumped into.
On Monday, in the South Australian Supreme Court, Justice John Sulan told Artan Hasani that producing and using a knife in such situations was a serious crime.
He said that two injuries were possibly serious with one piercing the victim's liver.
The Court said that Hasani had been worried for the security of his wife and infant daughter when relatives of the other driver appeared at the crash scene.
It was claimed that Hasani crossed a red light at the corner of Grange and South Roads at Hindmarsh in 2008 and collided into the woman's car.
During verbal and physical disagreements between the parties, Hasani wounded a male relative of the other driver three times in the abdomen.
The court found Hasani guilty of causing serious damage and jailed him for six-and-a-half years.
He is to serve at least 20 months in jail.
