Fraser Valley Continues to Distribute Raw Milk Even After the Ban
Raw Milk

In spite of a ban, Fraser is still selling raw milk to the locals. The Supreme Court of British Columbia feels that the company is deliberately trying to cause health dangers to the people here.

A committee of 400 members was formed to get around British Columbia decree in order to prohibit the sales of raw milk.

The provincial Government wants to stop the distribution of raw milk as they have encountered numerous cases of diseases such as tuberculosis and many others.

The raw milk fans argue that the ban doesn't stop dairy owner Alice Jongerden from nurturing the 20 cows and milking them to ship them off to some 400 members it has.

This is not the first case of its kind. An Ontario farmer, Michael Schmidt was also accused in a similar case.

Shareholders are worried of the uncertainties as they feel that the decision taken would hamper them in packaging and selling their raw milk products amongst people.

The health agency demanded for the ban, after a child faced gastrointestinal problems after consuming the company’s raw milk.
