The vote on health care reform, which took place on Sunday night, has been marked as a `historic' event by the Kentuckiana Democrats.
After an extended discussion and a final agreement between President Barack Obama and House Democratic abortion foes to protect the last few votes required reconstructing America's health care system, the vote passed in the House 219-212.
"For the first time in 100 years of trying, we're going to provide affordable, quality healthcare for every American", as stated by Congressman John Yarmuth.
The bill was opposed by Congressman Brett Guthrie (R-KY 2nd District), since he feels that the bill might harm small industries which would lead to further monetary problems.
Congressman Mike Pence (R-IN 6th District) believes that the he is not sure whether they would have the American votes at present, but is assured that they would have the votes by November.
But Congressman Baron Hill (D-IN 9th District) has an all together different take on this, he thinks that the bill would help to manage the insurance expenses which the people have been wanting for more than 60 years now.
According to Yarmuth, the mission right now is to "tweak" the bill; he admits that only with time they would know whether this bill was the best resolution for health care reform.
