A preliminary test conducted on 3D TVs, manufactured by Panasonic and Samsung reportedly shows that Panasonic's 3D plasma gave a better picture quality than Samsung's LED- backlit LCD 3D TVs.
The fight of the 3D TVs has taken a serious turn, with 3D TV models on sale and now being purchased by consumers, which has, in turn, given an opportunity to US consumer goods testing company, "Consumer Reports", to buy the 3D TVs and check their performance on an individual level.
According to the Consumer Reports, Sony's new 3D TVs have not yet been tested, while the final tests are yet to be conducted on Panasonic and Samsung's 3D TVs as well, before stating the final verdict.
In the early reports from the testing company, it stated that Panasonic's plasma 3D TV was far more superior to Samsung's. The Panasonic model also did not show any problem related to backlight cloudiness, which also gave a wide range of viewing angle.
However, the above stated problems were encountered by Samsung's 3D LCD TV. Another issue which came up with Samsung's TV was that its active shutter glasses turned to one side and the images went black.
