Jerry Brown Urged by Legislators to Sue Health Care Reform

California Attorney General Jerry Brown was asked to join hands with other states by the Republican State senators to sue the federal Government for health care reform.

The people can’t be forced by the Congress to buy health insurance or any other products, according to the legislatures.

AGs of about 13 other states have already filed a case against the health care overhaul, which was signed by Barrack Obama into law. According to the bill, most of the Americans will carry health insurance.

Senate Minority Leader Dennis Hollingsworth, R-Murrieta said, “I think that many Californians share the same view that this is the greatest expansion of government in a generation”.

State Sen. Tom Harman sent a letter to Brown mentioning that the federal Government is limited in what it can and can't do by the Constitution and he called the measure an infringement of the commerce clause.

The state Insurance Commissioner, Poizner stated that consumers may have to empty their pockets in order to pay higher health insurance premiums. Moreover, it is really burdensome task to get them health insured, without their accord.
