A doctor working at the Royal Perth Hospital was charged for assaulting a female patient that he treated sexually. The patient was under his care when assaulted.
The 34-year-old man from Morley in Perth's northeast was charged by the Sexual Assault Squad detectives on Wednesday, with two counts of sexual penetration and four counts of indecent assault.
The detectives alleged that the patient was assaulted on February 20 while the doctor was examining her. It means that the doctor misbehaved and molested her during a subsequent examination and treatment.
A complaint was lodged by the victim with the police later and the accused doctor is scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on April 7.
