Following enough speculations, Opera proposed to Apple for the approval of its Mini browser. Opera extended the proposal after demonstrating its Mini browsers at the CTIA Wireless Expo at Las Vegas via Apple's iPhone.
Opera had demonstrated the browser through iPhone at CES as well, two months back. The people were allowed to take pictures and record videos of the demonstration of the Mini browser this time at CTIA expo, unlike at CES.
Opera officials have expressed their confidence regarding the approval of the browser by Apple. The company showcased a version of the Mini browser working on an iPhone, a CTIA stall.
Opera's Mini Browser is found to be much faster than iPhone's current default browser called Safari.
Last year, Opera had stated that the Mini browser would carry a standardized look while running in multiple platforms. After yesterday's demonstration, this claim has been justified.
There has been much excitement observed in the market regarding the proposal made by Opera and everyone is seen waiting eagerly for Apple's decision.
At CTIA, Apple's iPhone suffered competition losing on the front of allowing background processing as it doesn't allow it, unlike Windows Mobile and Android.
