General Motors Corporation is all set to introduce a self – driving concept car, with a seating capacity of two. The company showcased the car, Electric Networked-Vehicle, in Shanghai. The concept car navigates you through heavy traffic automatically and at the same time can also connect the passengers to the web.

The car will give an average speed of 25 miles an hour and it is equipped with GPS and vehicle-to-vehicle communications to locate the least occupied routes for easy drive. Many of the automobile makers and researchers have been trying their best to manufacture cars which make the driving experience through crowded streets less cumbersome.

According to General Motors, the vehicle gives an option to the user to run the car manually or driver- less.

Kevin Wale, President of the GM China Group, said, “EN-V reinvents the automobile by creating a new vehicle DNA through the convergence of electrification and connectivity, it provides an ideal solution for urban mobility that enables future driving to be free from petroleum and emissions, free from congestion and accidents, and more fun and fashionable than ever before”.

The car hopefully will be made available in the streets by 2030.
