On Wednesday, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission stated, Infantino had recalled more than 1 million baby slings, after three cases of children that were suffocated was reported.
The Commission said that, it knew about the deaths which took place in Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Salem, Ore, the previous year, which is why, it recommends consumers to stop using the SlingRider and Wendy Bellissimo slings for kids who are younger than 4 months and speak to Infantino to get a free replacement of the sling.
Though, specific brand names have not been given, but the Commission said, it was investigating 14 deaths related to baby sling, which took place in the span of last 20 years. The products were made in China and Thailand and the selling process began from January 2003 till March 2010 at vendors such as Wal-Mart, Target, Amazon. com, Burlington Coat Factory, Toys R Us and its Babies R Us spots.
Infantino has been continually working with supervisory advisers and ASTM International, which works as a non-profit association, in order to discuss about the matters related to baby slings.
