Calian Technologies Ltd. has informed that its BTS division has secured a limitation of expenditure contract from the Department of National Defense (DND) to perform vehicle maintenance at CFB Wainwright.

The contract is for an initial fifteen month period, and valued at $5 million. In addition, the contract also contains an option for an additional one-year period, which if exercised, could see the total value of the contract at approximate $10 million.

Under the terms of the contract, Calian's BTS Division will conduct vehicle exercising, servicing as required, equipment inspections, and repair on approximately 800 Wheeled Standard Military Pattern (SMP), Militarized Commercial and Commercial Pattern Vehicle and trailers for the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre (CMTC) at CFB Wainwright Alberta.

The service delivery is expected to begin in January 2009.
