Lockheed Martin Corp. acquires Universal System & Technology

Lockheed Martin Corporation, the nation's largest defense contractor, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Virginia-based Universal Systems & Technology, Inc. (UNITECH).

Founded in 1988, Universal Systems & Technology, Inc. provides training and technical solutions. The company focuses on interactive training and simulation, homeland security, and technology solutions. It employs more than 400 people.

Post acquisition, Lockheed Martin's Simulation, Training and Support division based in Orlando, Fl., will manage the UNITECH business.

However, the terms of the deal are not being disclosed by both firms.
