Three trusts from South East Care have taken an oath, to make improvements in the levels of its services and care, after they faced criticism from the health regulator.
The Care Quality Commission has put deadlines for the trusts to develop better standards of care or face a slap on its services from the authority.
All the three trusts have said that they were going to take suitable action, to be capable enough to meet the levels placed down by the regulator. The respective names of the trusts are, Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Trust, Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust, and Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The commission stated that, the staff working at the Surrey and Borders trust had not been receiving proper approval from patients to administer them with the right kind of treatment under the Mental Health Act.
The detailed action plans had although been placed, as suggested by the trust’s Chief Executive, Fiona Edwards.
While conducting inspections, inspectors found mattresses and commodes full of dust and trash at East Surrey Hospital which is located in Redhill. The inspection was carried out in January.
