Up till now, only three foreigners have been able to clear the Japanese nursing exam. They are the first to clear such an exam which is a part of Japan’s scheme of attracting Asians to assist the country’s stern shortage of nurses.
The language barriers had been overcome by two Indonesian nurses and one from the Philippines, who managed to clear the test after arriving in Japan in 2008 and 2009. 251 other applicants from the two nations had failed to make it through the test just because of lingo obstacles, although they are licensed nurses in their home countries.
Around 9 out of 10 Japanese students had been able to clear the similar test. It is quite clear that language has created a serious trouble. The ones who are working in their home countries as nurses have faced this problem and it is sadly suppressing their aspirations to do well in their domain.
Everybody is concerned about the matter and expectations have mounted up from the Government to come up with some major assistance in solving the problem by latest. Although it is necessary, to make sure overseas nurses are completely trained in using Japanese before coming to this nation.
