Quebec's major nurses union said yesterday that it has terminated talks, accusing Government of disrespect shown, as Quebec attempts to sign a joint contract with its public sector workers.
The alliance said that it has a permission to order arbitration, but will bestow by means of delegates in the approaching days to settle on its subsequent step.
Nurses have demanded to put an end to mandatory overtime in the middle of reports that long working hours have augmented by 30% over the span of last five years.
The nurses have put forward their demands of four-day work weeks of 36.5 hours and finish the compulsory working hours. Nurses say that younger professionals and fresh alumnae prefer on working outside Quebec because of the work circumstances in the region.
Health Minister Yves Bolduc had said that he was going to give more attention to the demands of the nurses, but cautioned any stress strategies ought to not harm patients.
