Reports say that Wikimedia Foundation Websites is planning to bring about some changes, after which the Wikipedia users would be allowed to export encyclopedic material to .pdf or printed book format.
It has been said that the planned lay out would be positioned by April and intends to develop the customer experience and usability of Wikipedia.
It has been said, by next Monday, Wikipedia’s media repository, Wikimedia Commons would be drifted to the latest ‘Vector’ theme.
This new layout has made navigation simpler and has incorporated a built-in 'cheatsheet' to make editing pages easier.
Naoko Komura of the Wikimedia Foundation stated, "Provided that we don't encounter major hiccups with this first roll-out, we are planning deployment of the changes to Wikipedia in late April, beginning with the English Wikipedia, followed by other languages".
The site visitors would also be able to create PDF files and printed books from Wikipedia articles.
It is said that earlier this service was limited to logged-in users only during a 2007 joint venture with German start-up PediaPress. com.
Also, there would be further changes introduced for a better edge for uploading pictures and videos, plus for searching the Wikimedia multimedia store.
