Ignatieff Promises of Removing $6 Billion from Corporate Taxes, if Selected

Michael Ignatieff, Canada's Liberal Party leader, has claimed that he will remove the amount of $6 billion from corporate taxes which is to be paid annually, if he gets elected. The inclusion of the amount has recently been proposed by the Conservatives.

He said that he aims to reshape the society, making it more environment-friendly and smarter.

"We've got to create fiscal room to realize some dreams", he said.

The new democrats have condemned the proposal made by the conservatives, in view of the annual budget deficit of $54 billion Ottawa is facing.

Ignatieff's recent claims of doing away with the business taxes, has brought enough surprise to analysts as well as the liberals.

The present government is looking forward to reduce the taxes to 15% by 2017. Stephen Harper explained that this move will help the Government in reducing the budget deficit to a planned level of $18 billion per year.

Upon this, Ignatieff exclaimed that it is very important for the nation to get together and make intelligent fiscal choices.

He also said that after coming into power he initiate a campaign for improving education and training programs.
