Four Chicagoland Residents Offered Kidneys to Strangers in Need

As good as four people have stepped forward to lend a helping hand to the strangers in need, by wishing to donate their kidneys. Donors met the recipients for the first time at Loyola University Medical Center.

It is a living example of a totally selfless act. Robert Rylko, a recipient said, "There's no possible way to thank her enough. I really can't thank her enough". He had lost all hope and was not able to believe his good fortune.

The Rockford Resident got a kidney from Christina Lamb, who is one of the four donors who wished to help.

Christina is equally happy to donate her kidney, who got inspired from her husband who received a donor kidney. She said, "My husband received one about five years ago from a family member and I feel it's important that people step forward, pay it forward".

Loyola doctors were quite excited to announce that a unique program has been launched in the Midwest, after Rylko and Lamb exchanged hugs that used the four donors to prompt a chain reaction in the kidney donations throughout the nation.
