Acer has declared that it will add another laptop to the Aspire laptop range, Ethos. The predominant attraction of this laptop is an additional touch-screen that can be employed as a touchpad to control a multitude of multimedia features. These features comprise sound, shuffling between music tracks, and so on.
Acer stated that the new media console is combined with a touchpad. The touchpad is endowed with a set of commands and it is controlled by a single key. The company claims that this new amalgamation provides a totally nascent approach to entertainment.
Though the Ethos is not being promoted and advertized as a laptop meant for multimedia purposes, it is believed that it will be suited well for the purpose. The laptop features the Core i5 or the Core i7 and is supported by a 16GB DDR3 RAM.
The remaining traits of the laptops are as extraordinary. The laptop features up to 1.28TB hard disk space, an ATI 5850 or 5650 graphics module with 1GB GDDR5 memory, Blu-ray combo drive. The laptops are available 15.6” or
18.4” screen, full HD screens.
However, the laptops are not very cheap. The basic model sporting a Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM and a 320GB is priced at £1100 and the 16GB model with all features will is expected to cost £4000 or more.
