Victoria’s Good Friday Appeal for RCH Crosses $9m

After an appeal was made by the Prime Minister to the people in order to keep donating for Victoria's Good Friday for Royal Children's Hospital, the donated amount has crossed over $9 million.

The appeal is on its way to break previous year's record which reached $9,168,449 in payments by 9 p. m. on Friday.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has been on tour around the nation in order to promote his health and hospital reform scheme and has been demanding from people to keep pouring in donations.

He stated that he understands it well that the times now are tougher with global economic downturn but the hospital requires everyone's ongoing assistance.

The previous year, the appeal had been able to raise more than $13.8 million regardless of the competition with the Victorian bushfires appeal to raise monetary help for research and development and medical machineries at the hospital.

The actions taken now is an investment made to secure the kid's health of this nation.
