The Singapore-based construction services firm Yongnam Holdings has secured a contract worth S$75.5 in India.
As per the contract, Yongnam will be putting up roof-structured composite steel columns in the new integrated terminals which are being constructed at the Mumbai International Airport.
The constructions at the airport and the validity of the contract are supposed to end by 28 February 2011.
Being the busiest of all the airports in India, the Mumbai International Airport manages and caters to the travel needs of more than 26 million passengers every year.
It is Yongnam's second contract with India. The previous one was for the construction of roof-structure steelwork for the new passenger terminal building at terminal 3 of Delhi's International Airport, which completed successfully.
Yongnam is seeking the partnership of Geodesic to undertake the project via a joint effort. Being the leading collaborator in the joint venture, Yongnam will be assigning its personnel in the main areas of fabrication, erection, quality control and safety.
The authorities are looking to a competent performance by Yongnam in the present fiscal.
