Since its launch recently, Windows 7 has shown a better acceptance at the customer end, being a preferred option for them over Vista. However, it lacks in some of the features from Windows XP which has been a hit among the users for years.
Quick-launch toolbar, which was launched few years ago for use with Internet Explorer 4 and associated with Windows XP, is one such feature which is missing in Windows 7. Quick launch facility has been replaced by the "pin" option in Windows 7 programs.
Still, a modification of the quick launch toolbar can be seen in the latest windows. The first step is to go for a "un- pin" option for any program which may be occupying the free space which the new quick launch bar is supposed to take.
For doing this, the users can right click on the program and select "Un Pin".
Another discouragement attached with Windows 7, is the absence of an email client. This is a let-down factor for the internet oriented corporate users.
To counter this problem, Microsoft has been recommending its clients to download Windows Live Mail, which is capable of providing the users with a Windows-Mail like email client.
