Revival in Economy to uphold, BOJ Governor Shirakawa Said

The continuity of the pace of Japan's economic revival is becoming evident, said the Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa on Wednesday, while addressing a news conference.

Masaaki said that it was confirmed that the economy is very much in tune with the picture that was forecast by the bank and that it was yet to be considered whether or not the assessment of the bank should be upgraded. This decision will be cited in the report that is scheduled to be revealed in the outlook report on April 30.

He further said, "sustainability of a pickup in the economy" is becoming apparent and the earlier anticipated risk of double-dip has lessened to a greater extent.

Adding more he said that some hints of improving nation's economy prevail as the corporate gains are found to be recovering from the dip and the capital spending decline is also stabilizing.

Also, the March tankan proved that corporate response improved continuously and is still enlarging. The economic conditions have heaved since last month and even the average performance in past few months the unemployment is also diving.

Talking about the prices, Governor informed that the economy is improving in an optimistic manner and therefore supply-demand balance is civilizing.
