Republican Candidate Defends ‘Barack the Magic Negro’ Song

Chip Saltsman, a Tennessee candidate for the Republican National Committee Chairmanship defending sending committee members his choice of a Christmas gift i. e. a
41-track CD including a song track titled 'Barack the Magic Negro', says he intended it as a joke. The song set to the tune of 'Puff the Magic Dragon' first debuted on Rush Limbaugh's radio show in 2007.

The track title lifted from an opinion column in the Los Angeles Times by cultural critic David Ehrenstein, suggests President-elect Barack Obama appeals to all those who continue to feel guilty about their nation's mistreatment of African-Americans.

The CD titled 'We Hate The USA' lampooning liberals, also includes songs that target former presidential candidate John Edwards and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, with some of the song titles labeled in bold font called: 'John Edwards' Poverty Tour', 'Wright place, wrong pastor,' 'Love Client #9', 'Ivory and Ebony' and 'The Star Spanglish Banner'.

Republicans!

There is NO reason for ANYONE to be shocked at this. The Republican Party has gradually morphed into the dixiecRATS of old.
