Teledyne Technologies acquires assets of Demo Systems LLC

NYSE-listed Teledyne Technologies Incorporated has acquired the assets of Demo Systems LLC, for an undisclosed amount.

Demo Systems, headquartered in Moorpark, Calif., designs, manufactures, and markets data transfer systems, maintenance access terminals, and airborne network servers for the air transport, regional, business, and military aircraft markets.

The company’s products include Portable Maintenance Access Terminal 2000 (PMAT 2000); Portable Data Loader-615/MSD (PDL); Airborne Data Loader (ADL); Network Server Unit (NSU); and Data Transfer System 65000 (DTS). The company had sales of $7.3 million for its fiscal year ended December 31, 2007.

A company official stated that Teledyne Technologies purchased the Demo Systems and the acquired business will be combined with Teledyne Controls.
Recently, Teledyne has acquired Odom Hydrographic Systems Inc., a Louisiana-based maker of hydrographic survey instruments used in port surveys, dredging and offshore energy exploration.

Teledyne Technologies founded in 1960, is a leading provider of sophisticated electronic subsystems, instrumentation and communication products, engineered systems, aerospace engines, and energy and power generation systems. The company’s operations are primarily located in the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico.

Teledyne shares closed on Friday at $40.72, up 2 percent compared to previous close of $40.02.
