Google Launches an Updated Version of Google Maps for BlackBerry

Updated version of Google maps have been launched by Google for all the BlackBerry devices. The latest version of the map shows the hosts, which were not available in the older version. The features that are included are Buzz integration, starred locations and Labs for Maps.

Voice search feature has also been included in the updated version. Users can look out for a place by simply saying the name of the place. There is no need to type the name of the place. According to the users, location the application would send back results on the map.

Users can also post their updates using their Buzz accounts from the map on this application. This version comes with an additional feature in which, users can access stored locations on the desktop screens of the maps.

To download the latest version of the Google Maps 4.0 for BlackBerry devices the user needs to login to http://m.google.com/maps in the BlackBerry web browser. The features are almost the same as seen on Nexus One - albeit applied on a smaller scale.
