A 28 year old German tourist has been airlifted to a hospital in Perth after he was bitten by a brown snake.
The snake bit the tourist on the foot while he was busy holidaying at Coral Bay in Western Australia's midwest area. The details have been confirmed by a Royal Flying Doctors Service, or RFDS, spokeswoman.
"The 28-year-old was transported by road to Carnarvon, given anti-venom by the RFDS, then flown to Perth on the RFDS Rio Tinto Life Flight Jet, arriving early this morning", she said.
The tourist is presently being treated and observed at the Royal Perth Hospital.
He is reportedly in a stable condition now.
