SingStar to Launch Online Mode in June

The Sony's Play Station's karaoke series is going online this June. SingStar for the foremost time will incorporate an update, which is entitled Online Battle Mode. This update will come into effect nearly six years after its first debut on the PS2.

This new function will permit PS3 owners to send invites to friends on the PSN list. They just have to posses the software that enables the listing of all the songs found on both the user's playlists.

It is also reported that this new feature allows one to see the scores of the opponents in real time. It will also facilitate use of the PlayStation Camera.

The update will provide players with means to compete with other players who will be singing the same song via the PlayStation Network. The SingStar players will not be limited to local competitive matches alone.

The PS3 version of the SingStar has been selling the SingStore software online. Through this software new tracks can be downloaded and automatically added to playlists

"It's time", said Sony, "to put your voice to the test on the global stage."
