To compete for making its position secure with tougher competition in trend of social networking sites, Rupert Murdoch's MySpace is trying to play it safe and smart with its competitors. The charm that MySpace carried in the initial times has been planned to be regained by letting the users share content with other social networks and MySpace instead of making a choice from the available options.
This new option is termed as Sync and it permits the users of social networking sites to update contents in Twitter and MySpace accounts of one from the other. Another feature allows users to share videos that are put on MySpace with friends on Facebook, who will be able to watch the same without requiring switching sites.
It was informed by Mike Jones, Co-president of MySpace with Jason Hirschhorn that users will be offered more and more features that will help connecting various social networks to MySpace. These features are being introduced because it has been observed that generally sharing between MySpace, Facebook and Twitter is common, he elaborated.
Mr. Jones further added that this new strategy basically aimed at admitting that "people use different social networking sites for different reasons".
