Gulf War Veterans Suffer from "Multi-Symptom Illness", Confirm Experts

Institute of Medicine panel of experts reported on Friday that according to a study it has been found that the Gulf War veterans suffer unevenly from post-traumatic stress disorder. It has also been found that those involved in Gulf also have some psychiatric ailments and some unidentifiable symptoms that are known as Gulf War Syndrome.

The panel also advised that more magnified studies are needed to clearly term the blueprint of distress and other symptoms among the victims. The Gulf War conflict initiated 1990 and is still going on.

The committee made it clear that nothing like Gulf War Syndrome exists but at the same time it was admitted that the soldiers suffered "multi-symptom illness". The panel concluded this finding form 400 studies that were analyzed in-depth.

Stephen Hauser, Chairman of the Department of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco explained that the study has made it more apparent that a noticeable number of soldiers who were associated with the Gulf war have been gripped by disturbing collection of symptoms that are not easy to categorize.

Stephen also said that the victims should be given all possible medical help to treat the difficulties that they are facing.
