The real estate agents are planning to sell the Cubbie Station which is Australia’s largest irrigation property.
It was told by Jones Lang LaSalles Managing Director Stephen Conry, that two parties located at Dirranbandi in southwest Queensland, were interested in purchasing the Cubbie Station.
With debts more $300 million, Cubbie Station last year went into administration. To recover debts and sell business, meeting has been organized in St George to update the creditors.
The station was made after the combination of a dozen flood plain properties. It provided water storage over a 28 km area along the Culgoa River. The station is licensed to store up to 460,000 mega liters and cotton can be grown in 200 square kilometers.
On Friday, a meeting was organized by Administrators McGrathNicol, for the stakeholders in the neighboring southwest Queensland town of St George.
It was told by a spokeswoman for McGrathNicol that in the meeting no genuine decisions were made. The transaction was complicated and many issues were to be well thought-out.
To allow the interested parties adjust their offers, meeting has been postponed till June 15.
